Here are my words for the day: Books are everything
I love books because it is like entering another world. Being able to experience something that may never happen to us in real life through the eyes of a character is just plain fascinating and remarkable! Books are so important in life and for yourself that even schools emphasize on it. Books are can give you everything you need to know. Books can give you knowledge, imagination, guidance, and experience. I know when someone say books, many of us will automatically think about those huge textbooks from school. I don't mean that type of book. I mean fiction, fantasy, science fiction, and even nonfiction books. There are many variety of books to choose from. You just have to search for a book that is your taste. And don't tell me that none of the books are good you. Trust me. There is bound to be one that you will like and cherish forever.
This is why I decided to dedicate this article to my book worms and the book haters. Within this book list I will provide you, I promise one those books you will find some interest in. Once you found a book you may be interested in, make sure to add it onto your New Year's Resolution list!
Have fun and start reading :) And I promise there will be no spoilers here! If you plan on knowing more about the book, please read a summary on some other website instead. I don't plan on spoiling the book here.
1. The Maze Runner Series
This is for my fan fiction book lovers, any young adult, action, and science fiction lovers. This book was a lot of science and action packed scenes. If you are looking for a new fandom to join, this is the one! I love the Maze Runner Series with all my heart. Some people will tell you it is boring, but that is because they haven't read the whole book series! This series requires a lot of logic and comprehension to fully understand what is happening because the author goes back and forth on the time line. The book starts in the middle and builds on the story before and after the main character enters a mysterious place in the first book. Also a little note, the author will be releasing a new book to this series soon called The Fever Code, so if you already read the series make sure to add this book onto your New Year's Resolution list!
2. The Fifth Wave Series
I actually came across this book series lately. And I also wanted to note that this series is still not complete there will be more books coming later. This book remind me of the book written by Stephanie Meyer The Host because the plot and events are similar. So if you love science fiction, fan fiction, and romance books, this book is for you.
3. The Lunar Chronicles including the books Cinder
Another of the recent books I've came across lately, this book is a unique retell of the fairy tale Cinderella but with a mix of science fiction. There are three books in this series so far- the fourth is yet to come out, and they all are somewhat unrelated to each other. But in the some parts of each book, the original main character does show up and help.
4. Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks
I must admit that Nicholas Sparks if my favorite author because I love all his books. None of his books have failed to impress me. If you are really interested, yes, I have cried at the endings of all his books I've read so far. It's that good. Best of Me got me crying the hardest. Because I don't want to spoil the ending that much, there was this innocent man and stuff happened. If you are interested in love stories, this is the book to read.
5. Zero Waste Home: The Ultimate Guide to Simplifying Your Life by Reducing Your Waste
If you are as overly concerned about being healthy and the overuse of plastic and pollutants, this book is for you. The author gives a lot of great realistic advice on becoming a zero waste liver because the author is a parent of two young boys so she knows exactly what she is doing. For great advice on being eco-friendly and spending less money on almost everything you buy, this book is a must!
6. The Book of Unknown Americans
This book will put you through the eyes of another unfortunate individual. This book is for people interested in history, the news, and about other people. I highly recommend this book for everyone because there are not a lot of books on the story of immigrants. I love how this book enables us to view the perspective of another without having to physically deal with it in real life- because immigration is a touchy topic.
7. If I Stay
Because the movie is coming out, I highly recommend you read this book first. This book is a love story with a twist to it. I don't feel like I can explain much more about this book without spoiling most of it, so that's the end of this book's summary. :)
8. The Lorien Legacies
I gotta admit I'm not a big fan of this series, but the story is really unique and interesting. Like the Maze Runner series, this book is for book lovers, any young adult, action, and science fiction lovers. This book involves the use of magic/ supernatural powers, which I personally I think is cool, so if you are like me and like to see magical powers in play, this book is for you.
9. American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History
This book is an autobiography by the U.S.'s top sniper Chris Kyle. Kyle explains some of this stories of war and how he was able to split his time with his family and out in the battlefield. There is a movie for this book with Bradley Cooper as the star actor. This is a book and movie for you to see/read if you are interested in how war really looks like.
10. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing
If you are one of those people who love to organize or need to get some organization done, this book is for you. Being the #1 best seller in New York Times, a Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo explains how to declutter and organize our home.
And this is the end of my top ten book list for you. I hope you guys found a book you may be interested in, but if you have another book selection, be sure to comment it down below ;)
